My favorite sound recording of 2009-10 is a song that I have recently discovered named Got This Money by Childish Gambino, the reason for this being for me its one of those songs you can just pop into your car cd player and just go for a long drive and just relax and cruise. It's a very simple yet addictive r&b song and the main message of the song is spending a day off with someone you car about doing whatever makes you two happy. I had to download his album (for free off his website) after a friend had played a couple other songs of his and I decided to check it out and I'm glad I did.His last performance of this song at The Bootleg Theater in La is right underneath this post!
As for my favorite oldie is going to be Biz Markie- Just A Friend, this song really makes me laugh because almost everyone has been in this situation and still today if you play this song everyone will know at least a couple words to it. The first time I heard this song I was going home from school when I was around 11 or 12 and it was on a cassette my dad had.

Magazine Proposal
So my new proposal for the newest, hip-est, and most honest,up and coming urban online magazine is to be named, Swagger!. What Swagger! does is take the lastest news in mens fashion, urban and preppy, along with music and just the general lifestyle of a young urban follower. What sets this magazines apart from other lifestyle and fashion magazines is that Swagger! takes the affordable clothing for young teens to middle aged adults, not just the high priced name brand items that are promoted in music videos and t.v. shows.
Splicing affordable urban fashion with upcoming artist local and world wide will set us apart from magazines like Complex and GQ in a way that would bring loyal supporters away from those magazine to our magazine. Those looking to see what is happening with the urban lifestyle outside of their driving distance will appreciate this magazine because it will not only show different styles of living and style, but lets the age group identified (16-25) expand their own creativity in efforts to create their own self image. Our advertisers would be major and indie music labels looking to find a definite way of reaching our selected age group, who is the main purchasers of online and hard copies of music. Apple with Itunes would be included in some of the advertising within the magazine as an option to purchase the music that is featured in some of our articles. As for the fashion aspect we will have major providers of urban fashion such as Karmaloop, Jackthreads, and Plunder, bringing them more traffic and members to their sites and we can have reverse advertising on their site bringing us more viewers and subscribers.
The premier issue of our magazine will be simple with the cover showing a man tagging (graffiti) Swagger! onto a blank canvas in the middle of the cover with the word Swagger in black and yellow, also hidden on the canvas will be words in black and/or yellow in small print: messages from the readers, from us to you, the world right now, upcoming artist, swag, and talk much; which will all be hyper linked to different pages of the magazine, thus giving the reader complete control over what he/she wants to read first or shows the most interest in. And each would be their own articles of the premier issue: With From Us to You being part of every issue just giving news to the masses on some words from the editors and those who help publish the blog giving their favorite musical, clothing and interesting facts of the week or day. Upcoming Artist, would be a brief bio of an artist/group that was suggested by the editors of the magazine and would include links to either the facebook, myspace or twitter accounts. Talk Much, is an interview section that was done with the voted artist of the week. Message From the Readers, is what it is: posts from viewers of the magazine that are questions and answers or just comments about what they like personally.
With Swagger! magazine we could take the online/hard copied urban magazine industry by landslides, the audience is there, they just need some proper convincing and opportunity!
